I found myself caught up in the trivialities of life. I decided to get back to the basics.
So today I walked the two miles to the lake and did my laundry. It was thrilling to beat my wet clothes on the rocks. I laid them out to dry in the direct sunlight.
Then I set to fishing for my lunch. I caught a sturgeon, a minnow and a blow fish. I built a small fire and was about to cook the fish when I felt sad that they would have to die so I could eat. But then I remembered hearing on the PBS show Nova that the average life expectancy in the Ocean is 26 seconds. That meant this is something they are used to. I cooked them up and then enjoyed the delicious feast!
