Measurement

I was walking through the desert.

I heard a, “Hey” and looked over to see a scorpion sitting a foot away on a rock.

I said, “Hello, scorpion.”

The scorpion said, “What a nice day.”

I said, “Yes, it is.”

I thought about how amazing is the distance between something being deadly and something being kind.
